Pisces Compatibility

While astrology is much deeper than Sun signs alone, there are general traits that each sign possesses that make them more or less likely to get along with each other. And in honor of Pisces season, we’ve gone through the compatibility of Pisces energy with each of the 12 signs.

Generally, Pisces is a sign that’s able to get along with most people. It’s the final sign in the zodiac, and because of that…it seems to carry a little piece of every sign that came before it– making it extremely relatable.

If you know any Pisces people, you may marvel at how well they’re able to float between social groups and different types of people. Pisces is a mutable sign, and very much embodies “going with the flow” depending on who they happen to be around in the moment.

Pisces is also a water sign, so they’re adept at reflecting the people around them. Their own identity might be more diffuse and harder to pin down because, knowingly or not, they have a way of mirroring their surroundings.

Pisces and Aries

Pisces and Aries aren’t the most natural fit. The end meets the beginning! These two signs operate from very different base lines and might be prone to some friction. Pisces is soft and yielding, while Aries is a brash go-getter. Pisces will probably find Aries’ gumption amusing, though, and giggle about them getting frustrated over what they consider insignificant. Both signs do have the ability to stand apart from the crowd, though, and will appreciate each other’s more unique qualities.

Pisces and Taurus

Pisces and Taurus appreciate the beauty in each other. Pisces is a water sign and Taurus is an earth sign, so there’s an inherent understanding between them. Taurus appreciates Pisces creativity and other-worldly beauty while Pisces appreciates Taurus’ ability to keep it real. Pisces and Gemini can have great times together. They’re both mutable signs, meaning they’re comfortable changing their minds and will appreciate that trait in each other. 

Pisces and Cancer

Pisces and Cancer make one of the best matches in the zodiac. They’re both water signs, so this pairing is especially emotional and intuitive. They seem to be able to read each other’s minds without having to use words. Of course, that can be slippery, if they start to expect mind reading without any communication! But overall, these two make an especially loving and empathetic partnership that want to take care of each other.

Pisces and Leo

Pisces and Leo are two of the great artists of the zodiac and might meet while practicing their craft. They will appreciate the creativity that each other possess, and can lean into making things bolder, louder, and more dramatic together. Leo might expect more individualized attention than Pisces is willing to give, though, as Pisces most easily dolls out its affections for the collective at large. If both signs can keep their egos in check, they can be each other’s biggest cheerleaders.

Pisces and Virgo

Pisces and Virgo are the definition of when opposites attract. They are quite literally opposite each other on the zodiacal wheel, and thus become like two sides of the same coin. They are likely to either be drawn to each other…or repel each other! And even more likely, both! Pisces learns important discernment lessons from Virgo, and Virgo can learn how to lighten up and live more in the moment with Pisces. It’s a paradoxical pairing that will be full of lessons and growth if they both stay open.

Pisces and Libra

Pisces and Libra appreciate beautiful things together. These two can enjoy hours at an art museum or going to the movies together. Trouble could arise, though, if cohabiting. Libra appreciates a clean and trendy aesthetic, while Pisces can find beauty in chaos and be much more quirky. If they can embrace the softer spots of one another without trying to convert them to their specific taste, they’re golden.

Pisces and Scorpio

Pisces and Scorpio are able to read between the lines. There could easily be secrets between them, as Pisces sometimes struggles with what’s true in reality and Scorpio just doesn’t want to tell you! But if they’re able to be vulnerable, they’ll find they easily relate on a lot of different subjects. These are two highly feeling people that have a lot of love to give. Pisces and Sagittarius

Pisces and Sagittarius make everything bigger together. They’re both ruled by Jupiter…so this pair is likely to share a disregard for boundaries. That can lead to epic adventures, or misadventures if they aren’t aware of their surroundings. Either way, they make great cheerleaders for each other and can remind one another to zoom out and appreciate the big picture.

Pisces and Capricorn

Pisces and Capricorn aren’t the most common pair. Pisces is ruled by Jupiter, that’s all about pushing boundaries, and Capricorn is ruled by Saturn…that’s all about enforcing them. This collaboration can easily morph into a parent/child dynamic, with Capricorn trying to control while Pisces rebels. If patience can be cultivated, they both stand to learn a lot over time.

Pisces and Aquarius

Pisces and Aquarius don’t always see eye to eye…but they can easily look towards the future together. While they’re ruled by very different planets (Jupiter and Saturn) they both have an ability to access what others can’t quite see yet. This is a very progressive pairing that possesses both great empathy and action for improving the collective. Aquarius takes a more logical approach while Pisces is a big feeler, but if they can combine their strengths they can make a huge impact.

Pisces and Pisces are living in a world of their own imaginations. Two people of the same sign can either attract or repel each other. Often, there’s an initial attraction because there are plenty of similarities between the two, but if one of the people has done more shadow work than the other…there could be a mirroring influence that’s unpleasant for the other person. Comparison is all too easy for this pair, so it’s important that rather than lecture on work that hasn’t been done, they appreciate how they’re showing up in the moment.
